ServerPoint introduces ColossusCloud in Virgina

"ColossusCloud is a third generation cloud virtualization platform designed to make it easy and fast to deploy Linux and Windows virtual machines in multiple zones, including Las Vegas, NV, to serve the west coast of the United States and Asia, and now, the east coast of the United States", says Erik Johnson, CTO at ServerPoint.com. The new ColossusCloud zone is located in Ashburn, VA, at the heart of data center valley. It provides for fast access to all major Internet peering points, reducing latency and increasing responsiveness.
The new location is based on ServerPoint's well known philosophy of designing infrastructures for maximum uptime. Our Ashburn, VA location is powered by our own network, with multiple routers and 10gigabit uplinks via Cogent and Zayo, along with our own IP space. ColossusCloud's hypervisors are fully redundant, powered by Xeon E5 CPUs with up to 256GBs of RAM and RAID10 storage devices with SSD acceleration.
The Ashburn, VA zone is now available to all clients and also provides intra LAN private networking as well as all the Linux and Windows templates provided in our other zones. Virtual machines can be deployed with up to eight CPU cores and up to 192GBs of RAM.
